nothing

Today, me and the family are doing absolutely NOTHING. Next week starts the softball/baseball madness for 2 months where 3-4 nights every week will be taken up by mine, Keri's, Kaden's or Kross's games. Also, we are officially homeless and staying with some friends until Thursday when we close on our new house and officially move-in. I'm really starting to miss having a desk and an office at the church. The last renovations should start in 2 weeks and finished in 5-6 weeks. Also, I and 16 other C3'ers leave for Ecuador to do some missions work in a week. But besides that, there is nothing going on.....at least for today!

nothing

Today, I ran, ate and just hung out with family. I am blessed beyond measure. Tomorrow, I will do NOTHING......

nothing

Today, I'm doing something incredibly significant, by doing nothing. My Keri is at a Ministers wives retreat, while I take the day off and stay home and play with my kids. We are staying in our pajamas all day and will wrestle and play doll house till Kaden comes home. I never want to forget, that being a dad is even more important than being a Pastor.
Tomorrow late afternoon, I head to Indianapolis with 2 buddies to get ready to run a marathon (26.2 miles) and hopefully qualify for the Boston Marathon. The qualifying time for my age group is 3hrs 10min. Which is the same pace as 8.5mph on the treadmill for 3hr and 10min. OUCH! I have not done all the training needed, but am always up for a challenge. Time will tell.

nothing

Today, the family and I are doing nothing. (Well accept for the early morning 5k race I ran....and won my age group!) Anyway, my kids almost don't know what to do with themselves when they are not on the go. They will ask, where are we going? When we say nowhere, we get this strange look. Last Sunday, I talked about taking a Sabbath, I shared from my own life how I am a recovering "workaholic" addict, that is still in recovery. It seems that our culture seems to wear busyness as a badge of honor, but in reality, "busyness" robs us of life. So in my life, I'm trying my best to find balance. Are you busy or productive.
